Modifying a Static Route

You can change the destination IP address, network mask, and gateway IP address of a static route by using the network interface route modify command.

Note:

This command deletes and recreates the static route. While these operations are running, there is a short interval during which the route is not available.

The following example modifies the static route for a virtual interface named mgmtif2 on a node named node1b to use the network mask 255.255.0.0 and the gateway 10.5.5.1:

node::> network interface route modify -server node1b -vif mgmtif2
-netmask 255.255.0.0 -gateway 10.5.5.1
